Great place not to enamoured with the reception manager coming in to the bar when we turned up for Sunday lunch when they staff clearly got rammed and the woman came thru bossing people about and clearly she has a power trip and a disgusting attitude and as an operations manager in no ve be is the admin manager front of house manager She's clearly not trained in people skills hence why she should remain in the back office instead of trying to bully bar staff when they don't jump to her smart arse remarks. To the GM your staff are amazing so tentative and know their craft, there was a lovely young girl in early 20s long hair clearly just starting out due to the way she serves but she is personable and sweet and couldn't do more gins and whisky can be a nightmare especially if you don't drink them yourselves but amazing potential. The woman serving behind the bar and the female chef were on point smashing service doubling up and it was busy but the woman from London clearly could do it eyes shut and gave everyone the same high level of attention. Reception however this manager bobbed hair with blonde highlights clearly sat in reception during the peak time doing nothing and the young girl on reception had no customers but always some checking preparation to do as always but any manager would of relieved the reception covered that post and sent another memer of staff through to help instead of bitching at the front of house, I heard her disdain and bad attitude this woman clearly thinks she's the boss and the bees knees when clearly she is unprofessional and borderline bully behaviour which is a disgrace. The sandpiper is amazing I won't be put off by this one woman as the general manger will sort this out so professional the rest of the staff, hardworking, helpful super friendly and knowledge of menu is second to none so to all the sandpiper crew well done you girls smashed it. I have a Sunday roast and went to the bar to ask for wee bit extra gravy nothing else and this woman came marching thru ordering staff to go check people's meal when the staff all follow the 2 bite rule clearly and she made it her mission not coming to me to asknnif anything wrong she clearly took it upon herself that there was something wrong with the meal when it was a lovely roast with pork and the feme chef gave it a wee blast for me to make sure was piping hot after I went to ask for wee bit more gray, super thoughtful and was delicious pork was perfection, well done We will be back again and again and again Thanks to your teams amazing welcome as we were not guests and were treated with the same respect, now that's how it's done. If anyone is planning to pop in you won't be disappointed great choise

We found this place by accident whilst touring the coast. The setting is superb, with incredible views out over the Solway Firth. We enjoyed a HUGE pot of tea for two, which was really inexpensive. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Very highly recommended!

Food was amazing. Kids absolutely loved it. I personally had the chilli, tikka masala and the haddock. All were amazing. Cameron was amazing, granddaughter even wrote a letter to him she loved her time there. Definitely recommend and definitely will be returning

Lovely and clean. Young staff perhaps in need of more training on barrel changing/pint pulling. I don't mean that in a derogatory way as they were pleasant, just constantly seeking help from senior staff. Great to see so many doggies. Toilets spotless. Small shop next door which is convenient. Only marked food a '3' as didn't eat. Would certainly return.

Restaurant is a winner, simple food, cooked well, but the winner is Steven our host! In the past 50 years eating around various places, not ever ever ! anyone has asked me and my wife, “how did the two of you met?” Fantastic!

We had a lovely supper here. The layout is spacious with fantastic views, and the food is very good without being extortionate. We found the pizza to be a little undercooked and drowned in sauce this time, but normally, the food is perfect. The chicken tikka masala is absolutely delicious! It's also dog friendly. The place is spotlessly clean too.
